When you start with 100% grass-fed beef, your peppercorn should do more than spice things up. Our Szechuan peppercorn brings the perfect amount of tingle and heat.
Any old peppercorn wouldn’t do. We specifically sourced Szechuan peppercorns, traditionally grown in a southwestern Chinese province known for influencing Szechuan flavor.
Our Szechuan Peppercorn Beef pairs well with these wines, cheeses and beers.
Light bodied and low-tannin reds, including Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Syrah, Rioja and Petite Sirah. The mild fruit flavors of these wines will do well to provide a nice contrast of flavor between the sharp Szechuan peppercorns and the richness of the beef.
Gouda and Camembert. The strong, creamy and almost chalky flavors found in the cheese from Normandy will add to this protein snack’s flavor profile while also smoothing out the sharp almost spicy flavor of the Szechuan peppercorns.
Light bodied beers, including Pilsners and American-Style Pale Ales. The lighter hop notes of this beer won’t mask the sweet and sharp peppercorn flavors of this protein snack, creating a long very complex profile on the palate.
